✨ A Festive Tequila Punch to Keep Spirits Bright All Night Long

If holiday hosting stress is the problem, a big bowl of serve-yourself punch might just be the answer. We love a cocktail that’s easy to batch, crowd-pleasing, and just unexpected enough to spark conversation—like this tequila-based spritzer that’s not a margarita.

Our go-to this season? ’Tis the Spritzer, a vibrant creation from Cody Goldstein, founder of Muddling Memories and head bartender at the cozy West Village gem, Upholstery Store: Food and Wine.

This cocktail is a seasonal favorite for its versatility. It shines solo in a glass, but it’s also perfect for batching into a punch bowl for Hanukkah, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve. The Aperol adds a festive blush, while the Champagne topper brings a celebratory sparkle—because every holiday deserves a little fizz.

🍊 ’Tis the Spritzer

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Tres Agaves Reposado Tequila
  • 1 part blood orange juice
  • ½ part Aperol
  • ½ part cranberry juice
  • Champagne, to top
  • Fresh cranberries, for garnish

Directions

  1. Add tequila, juices, and Aperol to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake briefly—just 5 seconds—and strain into a Collins glass.
  3. Top with Champagne and garnish with a few cranberries

Hosting tip: To turn this into a punch, multiply the base ingredients by 6–8, pour into a chilled punch bowl, and top generously with Champagne just before serving—float cranberries and orange slices for a festive finish.

So raise your glass to laughter and light,
To cranberry sparkle and citrus delight.
Let the bubbles dance, let the music play—
And may your holiday joy never fade away.
